ANYIM has identified the lack of
Educational support as a pressing
need in Gulu, Northern Uganda.
In fact, ANYIM is currently
partaking in multiple endeavours involving schools within the war affected
community. These include supporting St. Jude Children's
Home, a last resort orphanage and primary school, in assembling its first
library available for all pupils and children dwelling at the Home. St-Jude
Primary School has recently received 1200 books, despite the absence of
bookshelves for storage. ANYIM has lately been fundraising money to purchase
the bookshelves in hopes of enabling St-Jude's beneficiaries to access
this resource centre a soon as possible. Thus, the aim is to encourage
and increase literacy amongst the youth within the Gulu community today.
